Virtual Author Visit

The English Department is trying to carry on with author visits even in these tricky times. Carnegie Medal-winning Anthony McGowan dropped in to our 2nd Form (Year 7) classes on Thursday 5 November, to talk about his most recent book ‘Lark’ as well as his earlier works. He read a vivid passage from ‘Pike’, and entertained some great questions from our pupils, about such diverse matters as inspiration, how an author names his characters and whether he prefers knee or ankle socks.
