As part of Black History Month and ‘Celebrating Black Excellence’ at Christ’s Hospital, on 29 September, our African Caribbean Society (ACS), in partnership with the Careers Department, hosted Jonathan Sorrell, one of the UK’s leading figures in finance.

The subject of his talk was: ‘Bridging the Gap: Revolutionising Access to Top Internship Opportunities’.

Jonathan spoke to Grecian/Year 13 pupils about his path from law to top positions in finance. He also spoke about the 10,000 Black Interns initiative, which he co-founded in 2019 and which provides paid work experience for school leavers and university students at some of the world’s top organisations across 24 employment sectors. This is an amazing opportunity, which any interested Grecians will be able to apply for in due course.
