BOOK FOR OUR NEXT OPEN MORNING – Saturday 2 March 2024

Normally pupils enter Christ’s Hospital at Year 7, Year 9 or Sixth Form as boarders or day pupils. Occasionally, we can admit children at Year 8 or 10.

We encourage you to visit Christ’s Hospital on one of our termly Open Mornings to enable you to see the School in action. To find out more or for assistance with your application, please do not hesitate to contact the Admissions Office.

To contact our admissions office please email: hello@christs-hospital.org.uk or telephone 01403 246555

Our selection process is designed to determine whether a child will flourish in a busy boarding school environment with a strong academic ethos, enjoying the wide range of opportunities on offer, and feel at home at Christ’s Hospital.

Parents are advised to start the admissions process as early as possible and ideally at least 18 months before their child would be due to enter the School.

Places at the School are academically selective and are offered on the basis of Christ’s Hospital’s own assessments.

We welcome day pupils who are within a commutable distance from the School. Day pupils enjoy all the advantages of a top boarding school with access to an exceptional broader curricular programme.

"I would encourage you to have a go! Last year I applied for a Year 7 place at Christ’s Hospital. I had to take some tests and spend a night at the School. It was great fun to stay and helped me learn about the School.

It was a bit strange at first but I got used to it very quickly. It was a good experience, I thought it would be like Harry Potter, but it really wasn’t!”
Oscar, new CH pupil
“Thank you so much for Christ’s Hospital’s hospitality and warm welcome. Your Open Morning was extremely well organised and informative and we had a lovely time exploring!

Our tour guide Sam was especially charming, polite, confident and helpful. He was passionate about his learning and personal goals and so very proud of his School.

We were all impressed and our daughter Maisie, who was originally put off by the uniform, came away excited about the prospect of gaining a place with you. Our application form for her is on its way to you. We would also like to attend the next Open Morning and will book online.” Kind regards
Caroline, prospective CH parent
