Christ’s Hospital has launched an exciting new fundraising campaign to raise £1.5 million to support 18 more bursary places for disadvantaged young people by September 2021.

The “Bright Futures” campaign was officially launched today, Thursday 19 September, with a special band parade to celebrate the occasion. Streamed live on Facebook, Head Teacher Simon Reid and Senior Grecian, Andre Da Silva-Jenkins inspired the whole CH community to support this campaign which will ensure more children from disadvantaged backgrounds have the opportunity of a life-changing education at CH.

In the last academic year the limited bursary funds available meant that a number of bright children, with significant need, could not be offered a place at CH – despite meeting the academic entry criteria. It is an unfortunate reality that we have to turn away children with the potential to succeed and the Bright Futures campaign is an urgent appeal to address this challenge.

Head Teacher Simon Reid said: “I am passionate about everything that we do to give disadvantaged children bright futures. Put simply, a CH education transforms lives and I encourage the whole community to support our campaign and ensure more children have the opportunity to learn at Christ’s Hospital.”

Christ’s Hospital has a long tradition of philanthropy which has enabled generations to break through social barriers and achieve success in the wider world. We can only continue to offer these life changing opportunities with the support of the whole School community and the local Sussex community.

You can DONATE NOW online to ensure more children are able to reach their full potential – opening the door to Bright Future.
