On 21 April we were delighted to host over 30 careers advisers from a wide range of schools for a Careers Forum.
Upon arrival guests were treated to lunch, after which they enjoyed watching the famous Christ’s Hospital band parade. The forum then began in earnest with an insightful presentation on careers in chemistry, courtesy of Samantha Howard from the Salters’ Institute. It was a great opportunity for attendees to discover and benefit from the Salters’ Institute’s wonderful resources and programmes. During the Q and A session which followed, topics raised ranged from chemistry and careers to the place of science in future education and professions. The event ended with refreshments and an opportunity to network.
It was great to host this event; thank you to everyone who attended and to Samantha for sharing her passion to make chemistry accessible for all.
