Careers Networking Event – 2022

On 28 June, Christ’s Hospital was delighted to welcome over 20 Old Blues and professional guests from financial, legal, business, scientific and creative backgrounds for a careers networking event. This event was designed to give GE (Year 11) pupils the opportunity to hear from a wide range of professionals who all have experience in the world of work.

The day began with two recent Old Blues talking about their careers: Onyinye Udokporo, who is an entrepreneur, and professional rugby player Lennox Anyanwu. In the evening, pupils took part in a careers networking session, executed in a ‘speed-dating’ style, which worked well. Pupils could select from a range of industries including media, business, technology and gaming, finance, engineering, law and medicine.

This was a great opportunity for pupils to develop their networking skills, learn from their guests, and gather ideas about their future higher education and career choices.
