Christ’s Hospital is extremely proud of its partnership with the Tazaki Foundation and congratulates its founder Mr Tadayoshi Tazaki on receiving this year’s Japan-British Society Award.

The award recognises the establishment of the Tazaki Foundation and the significant contribution it has made towards the development of future UK-Japan relations.

On receiving the award, Mr Tazaki said, ‘It means that the direction of what we have been doing has been appreciated by both the UK and Japan, which is a great honour for me, and everyone involved in the foundation.

‘I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all those who have supported and helped the Foundation’s activities from before its establishment to the present day.

‘The Foundation will continue to expand its activities in an increasingly responsible manner, and we would like to ask for your continued support.’

Inspired by his experience of studying in the UK with scholarship assistance and wanting to give back and allow young Japanese similar opportunities to those he’d had, Mr Tazaki set up the Tazaki Foundation in 2016.

The Foundation provides scholarships for Japanese 16-year-old high school students to study A levels and degree courses in the UK. Christ’s Hospital has been associated with Mr Tazaki since the launch of his foundation and has welcomed 16 Tazaki foundation students since 2016 to Christ’s Hospital.

The partnership between The Tazaki foundation and Christ’s Hospitals works well as both organisations have a similar ethos and charitable mission.
