Damian Le Bas Talk

On 4 December, Old Blue Damian Le Bas delivered an insightful and captivating talk, weaving personal anecdotes with historical context. Le Bas’ talk painted us an image of his passionate enthusiasm for maps, his life after CH, and his journey to writing his book The Stopping Places: A Journey Through Gypsy Britain. He engaged us, the audience, with his motivations behind his travels, and shared poignant encounters along his journey, like the time he picked up a fellow Romani man on the side of the motorway carrying a guitar. Overall, Damian Le Bas left us feeling inspired and encouraged to embark on our own journeys of discovery.
