French Cultural Day Trip

In January, all DG and GR (Year 12 and 13) students studying French A level spent the day in London experiencing many of its French cultural offerings.

Students started their day at the Royal Academy of Arts where they enjoyed Impressionists on Paper, a ground-breaking exhibition featuring artists such as Cézanne and Degas, said to have transformed the future direction of art globally. The group then visited the Institut Français in South Kensington to eat lunch at a real French Brasserie and watch the film Huit Femmes, directed by François Ozon, at the Institut’s Ciné Lumiere, an art-house cinema offering daily screenings of French films.
