Pre-season Netball

Senior netball for DG and GR (Year 12 and 13) took place from Friday 6-8 January, with a mixture of players going back to basics on the first day, whilst on Saturday 7 January, the group took part in a pre-season tournament at Charterhouse.  The tournament was an opportunity to experiment with different combinations and encourage the squad to be independent in decision-making on court.  Although the results weren’t the focus, the tournament ended with CH 1 taking second place and CH 2 coming in fifth place.  The day finished with the squad enjoying a Super League netball match between Surrey Storm and Saracens Mavericks.  The final day of pre-season concluded with the seniors joined by the U16s, and the focus for the day was preparation for match play with pre-hab exercises and activities, as well as different game play scenarios.
