This half term, UF (Year 10) theology and philosophy pupils visited two places of worship in London to support their GCSE study of Christian and Buddhist practices. First up was the Kagyu Samye Dzong Tibetan Buddhist temple with its highly decorative shrine room – a real highlight of the trip. Pupils listened to a talk by Lama Zangmo, a Danish nun, followed by a meditation and Q&A. Then it was on to Holy Trinity Brompton Church, the home of the Alpha course, a highly popular worldwide evangelical introduction to Christianity. Pupils talked with two youth pastors and engaged in activities related to prayer, worship and questions for God.
