Author Visit: Caroline Lawrence

This term we were privileged to have the fabulous Caroline Lawrence, author of The Roman Mysteries series and many other excellent works on the ancient world, to visit CH and speak to our Second and Third Form on Myth, Movies and Storytelling. Caroline shared her formula for storytelling, using examples from her own books and Greek and Roman myths, and was able to parallel how these same ideas were used in modern filmmaking, taking us from the Paddington Bear movie right through to The Matrix. Engaging and entertaining, Caroline followed her talk with a Q&A session and a book signing, kindly donating several copies of her signed books to the CH Library and the Classics Department. A display of Caroline’s books and others on the ancient world is currently on display in the library.
