DofE Gold Expedition

For October field day, pupils taking the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award navigated a 10 mile (4 hour), pre-planned route around the South Downs using OS maps and compasses. They left from, and returned to, Amberley station. The weather was clear and bright, making the views all the more magnificent. There were animals, both domesticated and wild, mud, trials, as well as the odd navigational error! It was a great day out and much was learned along the way.
