Poetry Reading

After the inspiring reading she gave to last year’s DG English A level cohort, Victoria Adukwei Bulley returned to CH on 10 November to read and discuss her poetry collection Quiet with the new DG English cohort.

All sets are studying this collection as part of their introductory programme to the English A level. The library balcony provided the perfect setting for this cosy event, which included a book signing. Afterwards, Victoria commented on the interest and engagement shown by CH students. Their questions were suitably probing and appreciative of the messages within her poems, some of which detail the experience of the COVID pandemic. She hopes to return to CH again in the future.
