Pupils and staff at Christ’s Hospital held an atmospheric Remembrance Day ceremony on Sunday 13 November. The day began with a special service in Chapel, after which all pupils stood in silence in the Quad to await the Act of Remembrance.
The Senior Grecian, Maddie, and Second Monitor, Luke, laid wreaths against the plaque outside Dining Hall, which commemorates all our Old Blues whose lives were taken in the war.
The Head Teacher, Simon Reid, ‘planted’ his poppy in the Quad and the rest of the School followed his lead, planting their own poppies, all in complete silence.
