Christ’s Hospital welcomes day pupils who are within a commutable distance from the School. Day pupils enjoy all the advantages of a top boarding school with access to an exceptional co-curricular programme.
THE SCHOOL WEEK
In order to take advantage of the full boarding life at Christ’s Hospital, day pupils will be expected to spend a significant amount of the week during term time at the School and, like many other boarding schools, this includes Saturday morning school. This means that there are plenty of opportunities for day pupils to get involved in our co-curricular programme and to benefit from our magnificent facilities, including the Music School, the purpose-built Theatre and modern Sports and Social centre.
Monday to Friday:
• 8.15am: Registration in house
• 8.30am: Morning lessons commence
• 4.30pm: Day pupils are free to go home if they have no other commitments/they are welcome to stay until 9.30pm
• 7.15pm Roll call in house
• 9.30pm All day pupils staying for activities to have left the School
Saturdays:
• 8.15am: Registration in house
• 8.30am: Lessons commence
• 1.15pm: Sport or Activities (pupils are free to leave when sport/activities finish)
• 5.30pm: All day pupils to have left the School
Attendance at the morning full school Chapel services on Sundays is optional for day pupils, but they will need to come in for the two evening services each term.
