The Doyle Science and Technology Scholarship

The Doyle Science and Technology Scholarship

The Doyle Science and Technology Scholarship was first introduced in 2011 and is open to Sixth Form pupils who have an aptitude for science and technology.

The Doyle Science and Technology Scholarship has been granted in perpetuity (for 100 years) thanks to the generosity of Old Blue John ‘Jack’ Doyle and all the Doyle family.

The chosen ‘Doyle Scholar’ receives an allowance to help them forward with their career in this field.

Sixth Form Entry to Christ’s Hospital

Our over-riding aim is to ensure that our sixth form students realise their full potential, wherever their talents, interests and ambitions lie. We hope that they will leave CH as well-rounded, confident young men and women who are able to tackle life’s challenges positively and make valuable contributions to society.

Over 97% of pupils from Christ’s Hospital continue to higher education, either immediately after Year 13 or following a year out. In 2023, out of the cohort of 96 pupils choosing to apply through UCAS, 82 were able to take up either their first choice or insurance offer.

Each year we invite prospective sixth form students to a taster day, when they can choose two subjects to ‘try out’, as well as meeting current students and have the opportunity of discovering all CH has to offer.

All applicants should be on course to achieve a minimum of 4 A (level 7 grades) and 4 B (level 6 grades). The A grades should be in the subjects they wish to study at A level.

For sixth form entry in September 2024 a completed application form needs to be with us by 23 October 2023.
