What Makes Christ's Hospital Unique?

This unique School paves the way for a lifelong impact of future success and achievements.

When pupils leave CH their deep connection to the School continues wherever the world takes them.

We asked Old Blues (alumni), parents and friends to discuss what makes Christ’s Hospital unique and the lasting impact it has upon them:

VIDEOS

Bob Judson
"The best thing about CH is the opportunity it provides." "

"CH Charitable mission is central to its whole being …to provide an education for underprivileged children. It still does this today … and it’s a fantastic start in life for anyone that has the privilege to be here."

David Bawtree
"CH stands for excellence in all forms of education."

"I wouldn’t have done the things I have done without the education I received here.
Jenny Thomson
"Offering a first class education to children from all walks of life, regardless of who they are, where they’ve come from, how much money they have – everybody’s equal"

Sir John Daniel OC
“My time here was the making of me!"

"It’s important that Old Blues like me who have benefitted from what they got here, continue to contribute and encourage their fellows to contribute.”

Judy Evans
"For people who are interested in giving opportunity to bright young people who wouldn’t otherwise have that opportunity – this is the place!"

"The philosophy that guides it is the most unique thing – which is really around the belief in equity.  Given the same opportunities, people from different backgrounds can achieve great things and then give back to their society.  That’s what CH is about!"

Stuart Manser
"The whole being of the School is such that it is doing good and helping people who are less fortunate.  That to me is the most important aspect!"

Tony Cork
"Christ’s Hospital stands for education and the very important task of educating children for the future"

"I support Christ’s Hospital for what it has given to me – and that is a lot!"

Aileen Simpson
"My seven years at Christ’s Hospital were the best years of my life"

"There are lots of us now who really try to give back to Christ’s Hospital and we’ll never forget to carry the good name of Christ’s Hospital with us wherever we go."

Max Thomas
"Christ’s Hospital stands for going that extra mile for everybody"

"Everything that I’ve achieved thus far is thanks to CH.  I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the bursaries that they give out to normal people like me – Thank you!"

David Torrens
"Christ’s Hospital takes people in and gives them the best chance to make the most of what they are."

Over £10,800 raised on #GivingTuesday – Thank you!

Christ’s Hospital thanks everyone who made a gift to the Blue Fund on 29 November for #GivingTuesday. Nearly one hundred donors made a donation, raising over £10,800!  This far exceeds our target of £5000 and we are enormously grateful for the generous support of parents, Old Blues, staff and other friends of Christ’s Hospital who made this possible.

This was the first year the Christ’s Hospital has taken part in #GivingTuesday, a worldwide initiative supported by the Charities Aid Foundation, to encourage support for UK charities. This resounding success has helped put us one step closer towards our £190,000 Blue Fund target of funding another pupil’s seven year education and boarding at Christ’s Hospital.
