Art has a significant contribution to make to the development of every individual.

Biology

The Biology department is currently composed of five full-time and one part-time teacher, supported by a full time laboratory technician.

Chemistry

Chemistry A level and IB is taught in a suite of six recently refurbished laboratories in the Christ’s Hospital Salters’ School of Chemistry.

Classics

Classics is the study of either or both of the Latin & Classical Greek languages.

Design Technology

The Design Technology Department is an energetic and vibrant place to work and study.

Drama & Theatre Studies

The Drama Department is a thriving and integral part of the school community.

Economics

These are fascinating times to be studying A level Economics. Recently, the ‘banking crisis’, and subsequent recession, made us painfully aware of the significance of economics to our current and future prosperity.

The English department is one of the biggest, busiest and most lively in the school.

Geography

With growing interest in issues such as climate change, migration, environmental degradation and social cohesion, Geography is one of the most relevant courses you can choose to study.

History

The aim of the History department is to encourage our students to develop compassion, curiosity, a critical eye and, in particular, fundamental British values and global awareness.

History of Art

History of Art is an academic subject studied by both practitioners and non-practitioners of art.

ICT

As a core subject, we want to inspire all students to learn more about ICT, Multimedia and Computing.

Mathematics

The Mathematics Department – historically known as the Royal Mathematical School – is housed across two floors in the East Classroom block.
